A refrigerated-container price does not cover a complete cold-storage installation. The tables below use only prices currently recorded in the selected country’s catalogue for 20- and 40-foot refrigerated references.
Compare 20 and 40 feet, new and used
Each row groups colours for one size and condition. The count is the number of catalogue references, not available units.
| Size | Catalogue condition | References | Container price · Excl. tax |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20′ | New · one trip | 4 | £16,359 |
| 20′ | Used · excellent condition | 4 | £5,473.5 |
| 20′ | Used · good condition | 4 | £4,489.5 |
| 20′ | Used · last trip | 4 | £3,587.5 |
| 40′ | New · one trip | 4 | £26,137.5 |
| 40′ | Used · excellent condition | 4 | £10,475.5 |
| 40′ | Used · good condition | 4 | £8,589.5 |
| 40′ | Used · last trip | 4 | £6,867.5 |
Indicative container-only prices exclude taxes, transport and unloading. The range reflects listed references and colours; it guarantees neither stock, refrigeration-unit condition nor thermal performance. The quotation confirms the price and actual unit.
Check prices by colour and reference
Open the details to compare configurations. A colour or used-condition grade does not prove that the refrigeration unit works.
Check prices by colour and reference
Build the complete budget
Ask for separate cost items. Transport, electrical connection and energy consumption cannot be derived from the container price.
Purchase and included equipment
Confirm the reference, photos of the actual unit, box and insulation condition, installed refrigeration unit and included equipment.
Transport, unloading and placement
The address, truck access, lifting equipment, reach and supports determine the delivery proposal.
Power supply and commissioning
Check the voltage, phases, frequency and required current on the unit’s plate. A qualified professional must assess the connection and protective equipment.
Operation and maintenance
Specify the setpoint, ambient temperature, goods, loading and door-opening frequency. Request maintenance needs and a suitable estimate; no universal energy cost is stated.
What the supplier must confirm
- Refrigeration-unit identity and history: model, year if known, maintenance, repairs and component condition.
- Documented test for the intended use: test conditions, achieved temperature, duration, alarms and available records.
- Site compatibility: power supply, airflow around the unit, drainage, level placement and maintenance access.
Refrigerated-container budget questions
Does a used-condition grade confirm that the refrigeration unit works?
No. The grade describes the catalogue reference. Request a documented unit test and confirmation of the actual container’s condition.
Why can two colours have different prices?
Recorded references can have different prices. The table reproduces these values without attributing the difference to performance, stock quantity or guaranteed equipment.
How do I obtain a delivered budget ready for connection?
Choose a reference and provide the address, access, unloading requirements, thermal use and site electrical information. Ask for a proposal separating the container, taxes, logistics and commissioning services.
